We all went to halstead to have a meeting with may-nokes, manager. He talked us through the health and safety rule of the premisses, he was realy nice and friendly. We also found out that hes and ex-hedingham student. Which im guessing is why he was so excited to work with us and allow us to use his car park.
I am really Proud of my group we are all working together and have really sorted things out, all we needed was a group meeting.
1). location- we have booked the 29th to film in may-nokes carpark, we have chosen that day becasue the area we'll be deserted and will look abandant.
2). whos car- we are going to ask connors friend georgeif we could use him and his car to feature in our film.
3). costumes- connoer and george the main guys who will be the ones who throw the body over the edge and going to wear dark cloths, hopefully with a dark hoodie, which will tie in nicely becasue we will be filming at around 3-4 were it starts to get dark. Gaby and ME (caryn) will be wearing dark clothing too, we will look really run down and rubbish to show the audience who is the bad guys. Beth (the spy) will wear colour ful nice clothing but still have something dark about her charactoristic and the way she moves. Gaby (when she is acting as the dead body) will have blood up her neck and she will look pale and her lips will be blueish. The body bag will be covering most of her so she doesnt need to change her cloths just put a nice top on to look as if she is someone important. A parmedic who at the end finds the body bag and looks inside.
4). The body bag, well me and beth both came up with a body bag but we all think its best if we use beths one beacsue its black and has better atmospheric feel to it than my cream coloured one.
5). make up- well gaby is the only one that will need make up becasue at the beinning she is the girl in the body bag. ME (caryn ) will be applying the make up to gaby and the fake blood.
6). evenout the filming to everyone in the group- i came up with a new plan to make sure that everyone has an even amout of filming.
The credits will be rolling from the start untill the car pulls into the location just before the high angle shot/birds eye view.
- Car at beinning, body bag being zipped up. car boot slamed, car door shut - Caryn will film.
- Fade into, Beth walking towards the girls, medium shot, as beth walks past the two girls eye contact is exchanged. - Connor will film here.
- Hard cutt to title. Deep Six.
- High angle/ birds eye view from top of stairs, showing the car turning into the carpark and then the girls follow and beth sneaks in to get a better look. - Connor films this becasue everyone else is in the camera view and connor is hidden in the car so will get a double to look as if connor is still in the car.
- Point of view from Beths persective from behind the containers and the sheds. -Beth will film this.
- A long shot from behind beth showing her looking through the broken window spying on gaby and connor, will show gaby standing by the car and connor and george moving the body towards the river. - caryn will film here.
- camera zooms forward into Beths point of view shows her breathing heavily, camera shows a long shot of them about to throw the body. - Beth will film this.
- point of view, low to high angle shot looking at the body being thrown in the air. - Gaby will film this.
- were not too sure on how to create the splash without chucking in the body we all have ideas. - Caryn will be filming this part.
- Fade to a tracking view of the car as it pulls out, view from behind the fence.- Beth will fiml this.
- Medium shot of Beths facual reaction, shock and horro on her face.- connor
- Beth goes crazy deciding what to do, looks petrified- Gaby
- Beth pauses for a sec once her mind has been made up and then she runs away out the car park. suggests she is running away from the situation and want nothing to do with it. - Caryn films
- Hard cutt, screen will say six days later. we could have one second faded shots of the different road signs i took today saying road closed, and diversion, or we could have a audieo of a sirron over the sub title.
- Long shot/ Medium shot of the body on the lakes shore, half covered.hard cutt to black. - Caryn films this 2/3 second shot.
- Worms eye view from within the bodybag, (my idea) camera man inside the bag and its slowly unzipped to show a paramedic looking in at the dead body, the paramedic may say we have another one to make it sound like theres more to the story or we could end it there. flashing lights in the background. - Gaby will film the last scene.
Little list of props we need to bring with us on the day of filming;
- Radio- for the paramedic
- Pillows, and lead weights- to go in the body bag when its being dumped and washed up.
- Make up - for the dead body
- Fake blood - for the dead body
- The car
- Dark clothing but light clothing for beth
- Tourches
- Tripod just incase
We are going to have to film the body washed up on a lake shore near connors house becasue the halstead river doesnt have low bank were we could easyly film on. I think its better because it will show the body has moved in the 6 days. However becasue it washes up in a lakes side, we cant let the audience know we are filming in a lake or else it doesnt make sence, how they chuck a body in a river and then how it suddenly got out and then ended in a lake. so we will only show the edge of the lake so it looks like the body has washed up on a blend in the river further down.
Ialso think we should have Rhianna Russian roulet song fadeing in and out in part of the film, adding edge to bit that have the most impact when silent. I think when beth is going crazy with decision making and horro, we should play the music loud as if its her thought trying to escape. Other sections like when Beth is walking and eye contact is shown, i think the du - dum beat of the song should be played quietly to add tension and build atmosphere as all thrillers do.
